Does Your Shakopee or St Louis Park Home Need Water Softeners?

There are a few tests you can do at home to get an idea of whether or not you should look into purchasing water softeners. Haferman Water Conditioning can come to your home and perform a free water analysis and estimate too. We’ve had many years of experience in determining if a home suffers from a hard water problem, so it’s safe to say we are an authority when it comes to water softeners.

The most basic test you can do on your own to get an idea as to whether or not you have hard water is to get a plastic bottle and fill it about halfway up with water from your kitchen’s faucet. After you screw on the cap, shake it up and then dump out the water.

Fill it up about halfway with more water. Then add a few drops of liquid dish soap, cap it and shake it. The longer it takes for suds to form and the faster they disappear, the harder your water is and the more you should look into water softeners.

Other ways you can tell that hard water might be a problem: foggy drinking glasses and white spots on dishes after they’ve been run through the dishwasher; if you see soap scum on your shower or tub; if you or a member of your family suffers from dry skin or dry hair and/or if white-colored clothing seems to develop a gray hue after several washings.

When you call us here at Haferman to get more information about water softeners, we can come to your home and do a free water analysis and estimate, just to be sure that your home needs a water softener. If it does, we can show you the selection of water softeners we sell and help you choose the best one for your home.

So when you are ready to find out if water softeners are right for your Shakopee or St Louis Park home, call us here at 952-894-4040 or contact us for a Free Water Analysis and Estimate.
