Your Kinetico system may use an in-line pre-filter to catch solid material from your incoming water supply. Over time, the cartridge will need replacement — usually when water pressure in your home gradually decreases. How often this happens depends on how much water you use and how much solid material is in your water.
For most well water applications, we recommend cleaning or changing the pre-filter every one to three months. If you notice low water pressure, the filter may need to be changed more often.
