Clean, safe water is something most of us take for granted. It’s also been a cornerstone of America’s progress for much of our nation’s history. From the first filtered public water systems in the 1800s to help reduce the spread of typhoid and other waterborne diseases, to the first city water treatment facilities and the invention of home water softeners, Americans have consistently set the standards for water quality, one gallon at a time.
For more than 50 years, American-made Kinetico® water systems — crafted with pride in Ohio — have been trusted by families across the U.S. As we prepare for America 250 celebrations, Haferman remains committed to doing our part to make the next 250 years even better. It’s our privilege to make worry-free water available for homes and businesses in our local communities.
Our core values reflect the spirit of this country. Our dedicated professionals believe in doing things the right way, in serving our neighbors, and in making life better one drop at a time. That’s the Haferman difference.
In an earlier blog, we introduced our USA 250 “It’s the People” theme. Throughout this year, we plan to honor employees and customers who embody the idea of doing every job with pride and purpose. Join us on our blog and social media pages as we recognize these dedicated individuals and businesses.
Water standards continue to evolve
There is still a lot going on behind the scenes locally to improve our water quality. Some cities are exploring PFAS mitigation plans to help remove synthetic chemicals from their water supply. Other cities are working to install reverse osmosis systems either at select municipal locations or their entire city treatment facilities.
Haferman is working with some of these city officials to answer questions and provide information about how Kinetico can greatly improve their citizens’ water quality at lower cost, both with community drinking water systems, and in homes and businesses. It’s our privilege to educate you, and your city representatives, about how we can work together to make our water supplies even better.
What World Water Day, March 22, means to Minnesota homes
World Water Day is a major global observance highlighting the importance of fresh water and sustainable water management.
Minnesota relies heavily on groundwater and surface water. Better water often involves removing natural impurities such as hard water-causing minerals, radium and manganese as well as agricultural runoff and emerging contaminants such as PFAs.
Kinetico® water treatment systems provide peace of mind and convenience, and are customized to your home or business’s individual water treatment needs. You get worry-free water, third-party tested by the Water Quality Association. Kinetico’s K5® Drinking Water Station, for example, is certified to remove more contaminants than any other system.
This year, as America commemorates our 250th anniversary, join us in celebrating our country’s contributions to better water. If you don’t yet have worry-free water in your home or business, give Haferman a call.
