You should start noticing soft water right away on the cold water supply. Hot water will feel soft once the existing hard water in your water heater has been used up. For the quickest results, you can empty and refill your water heater after installation. This will remove the remaining hard water from the tank and give you softened hot water sooner.

When was salt last added? Does your water seem hard? Has it ever seemed like it’s used salt? Check that the system is in service at your bypass. You can use a piece of painters tape to mark the level of the salt and check in a couple of weeks if the level seems to have changed. If your water seems hard, contact our team to schedule a system check up.
